Living at Blue Skies of Texas West for seven years has been a great experience.
The administration, the staff, and the residents create a dynamic atmosphere that
would be hard to beat. I call it ‘my little place just this side of Heaven!’
KAREN M, RESIDENT
My wife and I have decided this is where we’re
planning on living when we retire. We want our children
to care about us, not have to care for us.
GENERAL DARRELL JONES, CEO
We moved here to find the best of both worlds! Moving here while
still able to live independently, we have taken the hard task of
providing future care decisions as we age, off our children’s plate.
Our first reaction was that this looked like home.
ROLAND & BARBARA K, RESIDENTS
We moved in and it was like, ‘Whoa!
This is where we belong. Everything’s here.’
FIDEL & EPPIE E, RESIDENTS
We found our ‘Forever Home’ at Blue Skies of Texas!
It is the best and friendliest senior living value that we visited.
ED & ANN A, RESIDENTS
It’s kind of crazy, but you always hear retired people say
they’re busier in retirement than when they were working,
and it really turned out to be true!

About Memory Care
We like to call it “helping you maintain your independence.” Assisted Living is a customized set of services — from medical to personal — that take care of your specific needs so you can carry on with your daily life. As individual needs vary, so does the level and type of care provided by assisted living.
Whenever your loved one poses a safety risk when being left unattended, or when the caregiver’s health and well-being suffer as a result of providing care, memory support should be considered. You should also take into account your loved one’s dignity, and quality of life. These are all times to consider memory support.
No. Each potential resident is given a tailored evaluation by a licensed professional. This will determine what level of care would be most appropriate, be it Assisted Living, Memory Care, or Skilled Nursing.
Engagement is the key to quality of life, and has shown to decrease distressing behaviors. Each resident interacts and socializes in their own community, based on their level of functioning. Our activities program is tailored for residents with dementia and will typically be more robust than what you will see in other facilities
Yes! We have open visitation and you are allowed to take your loved ones out wherever you wish.
